Walmart raffles 30th anniversary Pokémon set as demand outruns supply
Polygon reports Walmart is selling 30th anniversary Elite Trainer Boxes through its raffle system, which has run since late August: entries opened Oct. 7 at 2 p.m. PDT for roughly two hours, with winners charged automatically and some results taking up to 72 hours.
Raffles are a calmer way to buy than queue drops, but they exist because demand for this set still outruns supply weeks after it shipped. Entering costs nothing and a win means a box close to MSRP. Watch the entry cap: past drawings limited five and three, and this one hasn't been spelled out.
