PSA Value grading returns at $39.99 per card, $7 more than before

PSA is reopening its Value grading tier worldwide on Oct. 29 at $39.99 per card, up $7 from $32.99, according to Polygon. Estimated turnaround runs 90 to 100 business days, and the company still sits on a 7.2 million-item backlog.

Cofre's take

At more than 21% higher, the cheapest tier got less cheap, and on lower-value cards the fee can eat whatever a 10 adds. The 90-to-100-business-day estimate runs against a 7.2 million-item backlog, so expect waits to slip. Only grade what clearly clears the fee.
