PSA 10 Lily-Chan Art Academy Pikachu sells for $660,000 at Fanatics

A PSA 10 Lily-Chan Pikachu, one of 100 copies printed for a 2015 Pokémon Art Academy contest, sold for $660,000 including buyer's premium at Fanatics Collect's October 18 Weekly auction, according to Polygon. PSA's population report lists just eight Gem Mint 10 examples.

Cofre's take

Two different Art Academy Pikachus landing at exactly $660,000 a week apart is a rare matching comp, but with eight PSA 10s known, one motivated bidder sets the price. The climb from $1,276 in 2019 is a trophy-card story, not a signal for ordinary graded Pikachus. Treat the $8.4 million raincoat sale as an outlier.
