TCGplayer data cited by Wargamer shows Futuristic Rare Mew ex at a $62 market price and Mewtwo ex at $50, down over 95% from speculative pre-release values of $3.2 thousand and $1,000. Both now sit below their Special Illustration Rare counterparts at $88 and $57.
Pre-release TCGplayer listings are placeholders, not comps, and a 95%-plus reset once supply hits shows what that speculation was worth. More telling is that SIRs still outprice the new headline rarity, the same pattern as the gold Mega Hyper Rares. Worth watching whether the Pikachu Futuristic Rares in November's Ultra-Premium Collection follow that path.
