Best Buy to hand out Pokémon trading kits at Oct. 3 Trade and Play event
According to Polygon, participating Best Buy stores will hold a Pokémon Trade and Play on Saturday, Oct. 3, noon to 2 p.m., handing out free trading kits while supplies last — likely 30th Celebration packs, possibly the Mewtwo promo due at retailers Oct. 2.
The same Mewtwo is being handed out at Target, so plenty of copies will be in circulation and slabbed ones are unlikely to hold much premium. If you want a kit, go early: promo cards ran out before the packs at Best Buy's last event. Expect graded copies to start showing up at auction within weeks.
